Mexican director captures top prize at Tokyo film festival

TOKYO, Japan - Mexican film director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (R), whose debut film ''Amores Perros'' (Love's a Bitch) won the Tokyo Grand Prix at the 13th Tokyo International Film Festival, hugs Emilio Echevarria (L), the leading actor in the movie, at the festival's closing ceremony Nov. 5 held at the Bunkamura arts center in Tokyo's Shibuya Ward. The film also won the Best Director Award.
